Tia Robinson

PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT and Creative Director

Tia Robinson is the Principal Consultant and Creative Director of Cashmere Events. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Tia has always loved arts and crafts. An entrepreneur at 14, Tia started entrepreneurship creating custom handcrafted greeting cards and gifts with handwritten calligraphy. She attended the Community College in Catonsville, Villa Julie College, and Walden University. Tia graduated college, majoring in business and health, although her heart was with art and design. Driven by the ambition to be a boss, Tia's creativity elevated with floral design, wedding bouquets, and decor. Coupled with her leadership skills and entrepreneurial spirit, Tia decided to complete a Certified Wedding Planner course with Weddings Beautiful Worldwide (WBW) and an extensive internship with Premier Event Management under the direction of The Wedding Diva.

Tia’s passion for helping others made wedding and event planning like second nature. She is an expert in hospitality management and is well-focused on identifying and responding to the needs of her clients and providing them with exceptional experiences.

Tia is professionally certified as a Master Wedding Planner™, Accredited Event Designer™, Certified Travel Agent, Certified Sandals Specialist™, and Notary. She has been a member of several professional associations, such as the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC), Weddings Beautiful Worldwide (WBW), Maryland Wedding Planner Association (MWPA), International Live Events Association (ILEA), Event Planners Association (EPA), Business Network International (BNI). She continues her membership for professional development and business growth.

Tia is interested in gourmet foods and loves fine dining and exploring new wines. However, as a true Marylander, her favorite food is Maryland Steamed Crabs, followed by smooth milk chocolate. Past times include: traveling and spending quality time with her husband and four sons. Tia plans to own venue properties in Maryland or the District of Columbia area soon.

 

Terry
Akers

Terry L. Akers has been a Senior Event Assistant with Cashmere Events since 2011. Terry graduated from Walden University in 2013 with her Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on Psychology and Business. Terry loves love weddings, music, and spending time with her family—especially her grandchildren.

Destinie
Turner

Destinie Turner is attending community college with a Psychology and Criminal Justice major. Destinie has also been working through college with not just event planning but is the queen of retail sales at a local shoe store. This experience taught her the value of hard work, efficiency, and communication. In the future, she hopes to continue her studies in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Destinie spends her spare time volunteering at the SPCA, helping pets needing attention and playing with her kitten at home.

Kimberly
Grant

Kim is an Event Assistant with Cashmere Events. She's been a hospitality professional for over 20 years with over 10 years of experience as a Sales Manager; in Sales and Catering. She has worked for major hotel chains such as Hilton, Radisson, DoubleTree by Hilton, and Crown Plaza. Kim is a professional event planner in her career. She enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time with family. Her love for decorating and party planning makes her an asset to the team. 

William
Brady

William Brady is the Operations Manager of Cashmere Events. No stranger to hard work, William is also the owner of an event rental business and an auto detailing company. William has a love for graphic design and loves assisting children with special needs.

Brycen
Paul

The newest team member, Brycen Paul, is the junior of the group. No stranger to the industry as he was born into event management and it has been an easy first time job. Brycen has a love for theater and arts and is a history major. Brycen plans to use his relationships in the business to help him foster his acting career.

 
 

Parise
HASKINS

The manager of our Bridal Concierge Team, Parise Haskins, received her education in the Baltimore Public School System and has spent her career serving the public. Parise has experience in nursing and massage therapy and has been event planning since 2010. She loves making people smile, having family gatherings, and doing charitable events throughout her community.

Claudia Wallace

 

Claudia Trusty is an Event Assistant with Cashmere Events. Claudia received her education in business from Keystone, PA. Her passion is advocating to help others in need of fair housing and assisting others to become homeowners. Claudia loves her family, assisting in the community, dance ministry, and, most importantly, loving and serving God.
